Doug Brasell (b. 1975) has served in music education as director of bands and county music supervisor for over 16 years. Seeing the lifelong benefits of educational performance travel in his own students, his desire was to reach and make an impact on many musicians and directors across the U.S. Doug founded All National Music and it’s featured composer festivals to make an immeasurable, transformative difference in the lives of music educators and their student performers through exclusive and invitational performance events across the U.S. Mr. Brasell earned his Master’s degree in Music Education at Troy University and began his route to Ph.D from the University of Florida.
Doug Brasell has earned the designation of Universal Orlando Resort Specialist. In addition, he served as technology consultant to Warner Bros Publications for over five years during the creation and release of the K-12 Expressions music curriculum by Robert W. and Susan Smith. Mr. Brasell has worked with bands across the United States as a teacher, arranger, and designer and most recently as the Event Director for the 2017 and 2018 Gator Bowls as well as the 2019 Liberty Bowl. Doug also selected and arranged performance tours for bands across the U.S. at multiple other national bowl games including the Sugar Bowl, the national televised Chicago Thanksgiving Parade, multiple national concert festivals, and even exclusive performances at Carnegie Hall in New York. His own bands have performed at the Sugar Bowl, Disney World, Universal Studios, and in cities such as Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, St. Louis, Orlando, as well as regional and state festivals in Alabama, Georgia, and Florida where they’ve scored 1st place and Best overall in marching and concert arenas as well as Straight Superiors with All As at state music performance assessment.
Doug Brasell founded his first business, AquaMedia, in 1997 at the age of 22 while in college. AquaMedia was an internet marketing firm that quickly built an online presence establishing the first websites for many well know entities such as the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, Electric Cooperatives, Industrial suppliers in Miami and New York, the Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn, Troy University School of Music, and the Johnny Cochran law firm among others. Doug also earned certification at the NYSE and NASDAQ of Accredited Asset Management Specialist and worked as a broker and financial consultant for AG Edwards as well as a Senior Financial Relationship Licensed Banker and Loan Officer with Regions Bank/Regions Investment Services.
Doug’s hands on experiences in music education, music industry, business, financials, performance and educational travel, and event management & operations gave him the desire to put all of these skills together and launch US Performances with All National Music. He truly wants to make a difference in the lives of music educators and student performers across the U.S.
Mr. Brasell maintains educator licenses in multiple states and membership in the National Association for Music Education and regularly attends the Midwest Clinic in Chicago, and the Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Texas Music Educator’s Association In-service Conventions annually. Doug continues his love for performance routinely playing trumpet and has three children, who are all now adults and leading their own prosperous lives. His two sons live and work in Florida and his daughter is a professional dancer in New York City and has performed with Broadway greats and recently was featured in an 11 month European tour with Royal Caribbean. Home is near the white sandy beaches on the beautiful emerald coat of Navarre, Florida. Boating, fishing, the beach and everything water front are family favorites!
